# 1042 - Windows Administrator

Description

As a Windows Systems Administrator you will primarily be responsible for all Novell and NT file and print servers with a focus on Network Operating System and hardware support for these systems, including server monitoring and administration functions. 

Specific responsibilities:

1. Provide hardware support following manufacturer's guidelines to identify/replace-failed components and to install new server components.
2. Network Operating System monitoring, trouble shooting and maintenance includes application of N.O.S. patches and updates.  This includes N.O.S. and all server-based utilities.
3. Test, implement and support server based Virus protection software. 
4. Be on-call via beeper 7x24. 
5. Duties include participation and on-call pages rotations.

Qualifications

Position requires:

1. 5+ years NT/Windows system administration experience.
2. Must have technical, hands-on experience in the LAN server arena including experience with required hardware, software and communication protocols.
3. Proven ability to participate in small to medium-scale LAN projects utilizing formal project management tools and techniques. 
4. A Bachelor Degree is preferred.
